by USA Racquetball
USA Racquetball is excited to preview another thrilling weekend of professional racquetball featuring three of our standout Team USA athletes competing in Maryland!
Erika Manilla (#18)
This event marks Erika Manilla’s highly anticipated return to competition after a 10-month recovery from a serious hip injury suffered during U.S. Team qualifying in February. Before her injury, Erika was ranked in the Top 5 on tour and a consistent singles semifinalist. Expectations vary widely for Erika this weekend, ranging from a first-round exit to a title run. In addition to singles, she will also be competing in doubles, and all eyes will be on her comeback performance.
Michelle Key (#14)
Michelle Key enters the weekend on a high note, fresh off a doubles title with partner Brenda Laime. She also made an impressive run to the Round of 16 at the Chicago Open, pushing eventual runner-up Paola Longoria to a tiebreaker. Michelle is playing some of the best racquetball of her career—can she break through to her first singles quarterfinal of the season and defend her doubles crown? Don’t miss her journey this weekend!
Michelle Key & Erika Manilla – Doubles Pairing
Michelle and Erika are joining forces for doubles this weekend, showcasing Team USA camaraderie on tour. They’re poised to make a strong push for the title as a dynamic underdog team.
Kelani Lawrence (#7)
Kelani Lawrence looks to bounce back this weekend, with Maryland providing a home-court feel for the crowd favorite. Kelani reached the singles quarterfinals in her last event and is determined to make her first final of the year at this season’s final stop. With her sights set high, Kelani is ready to deliver an exciting performance.
