USA Racquetball is Pleased to Announce the Office of the Executive Director
USA Racquetball

The USA Racquetball Board of Directors is saying farewell to Mike Grisz, whose leadership and guidance have been invaluable over the last two-plus years, and who leaves us with a forward-looking path to continue striving to grow the sport and support the racquetball community.

The role of Executive Director is one that requires focus, dedication and time. As USA Racquetball is currently unable to budget a salary for this role, the Board of Directors agreed to the creation of the Office of the Executive Director. Coming under the oversight of the Board, the Office of the Executive Director will function in place of a single person and can be updated and configured by the Board as needed. Beginning January 1, 2025, Karen Grisz, Cheryl Kirk, and Kristin Wattz will form the inaugural team of the newly created Office of the Executive Director. These three individuals bring necessary skills and diversity in terms of history, relationships, and experience both inside and outside of the racquetball community. They have offered to assist USA Racquetball for an as-yet-undetermined period of time to continue the challenging job of running the National Governing Body (NGB) of the sport we all love and want to see flourish. They share a willingness to serve in leadership and coordination roles in a collaborative alliance on a 100% volunteer basis.

Mike will continue in a consultative role, and Jonathan Greenberg remains USA Racquetball’s only paid staff member.

Please help us welcome Karen, Cheryl, and Kristin in their new roles. They look forward to working closely with the state associations, tournament directors, sponsors, and the rest of the racquetball community in the coming year.
