MISCELLANEOUS ABOUT ROBERT SOSTRE:
Robert “The Ice-Man” Sostre was born on 2-25-1971. “Sostre is the holder of over 100 professional titles in paddleball, handball, & 1-wall racquetball combined.” (Restrung Magazine). Robert Sostre is sponsored by Ektelon and has a top selling, Kevlar paddleball racquet named after him- the limited edition, “Robert Sostre Ice-Man Paddle.”
“The Iceman has a truly deep competitive history and transitioned to outdoor racquetball after having legendary success in paddleball and handball. Before even picking up a racquetball racquet in 1997 for the first time (and borrowing it for his win in doubles at the pro championships), Robert could have been the greatest paddleball player who ever lived.” (Freddy Ramirez- Robert’s longtime partner in his statement to the WOR Hall of Fame committee).
“Robert is probably one of the greatest athletes of all time, and it’s a shame, because most people will never know about it.” [They do now Marty!] (Marty Hogan-#1 pro racquetball legend).
