The 2025 LPRT season kicks off this weekend January 16th-19th, in Tempe, Arizona, with Team USA well represented. Both adult and junior national team members will be competing, promising an exciting showcase of talent.
Player Highlights:
Kelani Lawrence (#6)
Kelani Lawrence is looking to start 2025 strong as she aims to reach her first LPRT final. She opens her campaign Thursday at 10 a.m. MST against local standout and former world No. 1 Rhonda Rajsich. Lawrence currently holds a 2-3 record this season. In doubles, she will team up with fellow Team USA member Hollie Scott.
Michelle Key (#12)
Phoenix-area native Michelle Key is set to compete in front of her hometown fans. She begins play at 9 a.m. MST on Thursday against Maria Renee Rodriguez. A win would lead to a second-round match against No. 5 seed Gabriela Martinez. In doubles, Key is partnered with Natalia Mendez (ARG) as the No. 2 seed, building on her recent doubles final appearance in Maryland.
Hollie Scott (#18)
Hollie Scott returns to the tour this weekend after taking a break from recent pro stops. She opens play against No. 15 Angelica Barrios in a highly competitive Round of 32 match at 11 a.m. MST on Thursday. Scott will also compete in doubles alongside Kelani Lawrence.
Other Americans in the Draw:
Lexi York, Annie Sanchez, Sheryl Lotts, Naomi Ros, and Rhonda Rajsich are also competing in Tempe.
